“When I first began as Girls’ Generation, even before it all, SONE gave us so much love and support. The reason for all our actions and performances is you, and you make everything possible. You’re the source of our energy.

When we say our “thanks to” on-stage for an award, we get a chance to speak to our fans, but we can’t express enough. It’s difficult to remember everybody at such a short moment, so we always just sum everything up in “thank you.” But to be more specific, thanks so much for being the energy that moves me. You’re the reason I can sing.

A singer has to have listeners to be able to sing. Well, there’s self-satisfaction, but ever since the debut, I’ve felt such a huge amount of love, so I’m honestly very worried about my future. What if I can’t absorb all the love you give? What if my heart isn’t big enough to hold it all? What if my love basket is empty? I worry.

But… even so, nothing is going to change.

An artist’s image is made by the fans, and the artist’s actions and performances inspire the fans. So depending on how we affect each other, our actions will change. I’m talking about a large concept, but I know that SONE is smart, so you’ll understand.

When it gets tough and tiring, we thank you for your unconditional love - almost like parents. To live up to your love, we will try our best to show you our true selves.

I want to get to know your stories as well. Not only SONE in Korea, but all the fans over in Asia and beyond in Europe. I want to visit each one of you and sing for you. Until then, we will continue to prepare and work hard.

I always had something I wanted to say. I really want to make it so that you are never ashamed to be our fan. I hope that you, SONE, would continue to wave those pink balloons, so that we can be proud to have such passionate fans.
